LAW CLERKS

Senator Schiff offers a Law Clerk Program in his Washington D.C. office for law students interested in experiencing the day-to-day, in-person operations of a Senate Judiciary Committee member’s office.

Law Clerks work with the attorneys and other staff on Senator Schiff’s Senate Judiciary Committee team on assignments such as legal and legislative research, memo drafting, oversight work, and helping prepare the Senator for Senate Judiciary Committee hearings and markups.

The assignments relate to issues that fall under the Senate Judiciary Committee’s jurisdiction, including judicial nominations, election integrity, immigration, civil rights and civil liberties, criminal law and criminal justice reform, constitutional law, antitrust, and intellectual property.
