Judicial Applications

United States Circuit Court, United States District Court, United States Attorney, and United States Marshal

The Constitution charges United States Senators with the solemn responsibility and authority to provide advice and consent to the President on federal judicial nominees. Senator Schiff is committed to recommending and evaluating individuals who are qualified, experienced, and committed to the rule of law, to serve as U.S. Circuit Court Judges, U.S. District Court Judges, U.S. Attorneys, and U.S. Marshals.

Senator Schiff formed a Statewide Federal Judicial Commission with committees in each of California’s four federal districts to carefully consider candidates who may serve as U.S. District Court Judge, U.S. Attorney, and U.S. Marshal.

If you would like to be considered, please download and complete the relevant application, and send it together with supporting documents to Mr. Gary Lincenberg and Judge Nora Manella, the statewide co-chairs of Senator Schiff’s Federal Judicial Commission at Ca.Judicial.Application@gmail.com. Any interested candidates should feel free to apply before vacancies arise. Anyone seeking to recommend a candidate for a Ninth Circuit, U.S. District Court Judge, U.S. Attorney, or U.S. Marshall position should also email the same address with a letter of recommendation and related materials. Please direct questions about Senator Schiff’s Federal Judicial Commission to the same email address.

If you would like your application to remain confidential, please let the Commission know in your application materials.
