ICYMI: Sen. Schiff Joins Community Holiday Celebrations, Commemorates Beginning of Hanukkah in San Diego

San Diego, CA – Over the weekend, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) made several holiday stops across San Diego County, speaking to constituents about how he’s advocating on their behalf in Congress and reflecting on the past year.

The Senator commemorated the first night of Hanukkah at a menorah lighting at Liberty Station. Schiff, who is Jewish, mourned in his remarks those who were killed in Sydney, Australia over the weekend.

Then, Senator Schiff joined the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus holiday concert at the Balboa Theater in downtown San Diego. The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus is one of the ten largest GALA choruses in the United States, dedicated to creating positive musical experiences and building community support to achieve positive social change.

Senator Schiff also visited with U.S. servicemembers and military families at a tree lighting ceremony at Naval Base Coronado.
