Yuba County, CA — Today, U.S. Senators Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla (both D-Calif.) announced that they secured $22 million in federal funding for Beale Air Force Base.
The bipartisan funding for Beale Air Force Base, secured by Schiff, Padilla, and the late Representative Doug LaMalfa, will go toward the Multi-Domain Operations Complex project. This project supports the base’s operation and serves as a critical foundation to sustain Beale’s mission and long-range strategy.
“As the West Coast remains on the front line of deterring adversaries in the Pacific and the home of the nation’s technological innovation, supporting Beale Air Force Base in Congress remains a bipartisan priority for our California delegation,” said Senator Schiff. “And with the Air Force’s selection in May of Beale for testing of the Collaborative Combat Aircraft, the funding we secured will reinforce the base’s new mission and support thousands of jobs in Yuba County. I was proud to work with Senator Padilla and the late Congressman LaMalfa to secure this important funding, and of the efforts of the dedicated servicemembers that I had a chance to meet at Beale last year.”
“This surge in federal funding for Beale Air Force Base is crucial to protecting our national security and bolstering military readiness at one of our state’s premier bases. I appreciate Senator Schiff and the late Congressman Doug LaMalfa’s partnership in securing this critical investment,” said Senator Padilla. “I will continue working across the aisle to deliver lasting improvements for Northern California communities and invest in our troops and veterans.”
