Fresno, CA – In case you missed it, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), a member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, took a tour of the Central California Food Bank (CCFB), the largest hunger-relief organization in Central California, serving Fresno, Madera, Tulare, Kings, and Kern counties.
After the tour, the Senator participated in a roundtable with food security advocates. Schiff emphasized his commitment to ensuring the Farm Bill reverses cuts to SNAP as well as bolsters other federal nutrition programs.
Additionally, Schiff highlighted the $1 million he secured for the new Santé Volunteer Center, which will provide space and resources to enhance volunteer experience, including areas for hands-on packing and sorting, and training and workforce development rooms at CCFB.
